Christine Amsden has been writing science fiction and fantasy for as long as she can remember. She loves to write and it is her dream that others will be inspired by this love and by her stories. Speculative fiction is fun, magical, and imaginative but great speculative fiction is about real people defining themselves through extraordinary situations. Christine writes primarily about people and it is in this way that she strives to make science fiction and fantasy meaningful for everyone.

Christine currently lives in the Kansas City area with her husband, Austin, who has been her biggest fan and the key to her success. They have two beautiful children.

Thank you so much! (Gosh ... I either need to look in here more often or turn off questions!)

Anyway, this is NOT the finale. In fact, book 7 begins a new 3-part arc (a trilogy, if you will). I've drafted book 8 ... still not happy with it but it's coming along.

Book 9 will probably be the finale, mostly because I've started moving on to other projects, other series, and it really is time to close this one. But I make no promises! I thought I was done with #6 and that wasn't the end so you never know. :)(less)

As a matter of fact, YES, I am continuing the series and Frozen just went live on Amazon today. Which is why I'm here, updating my profile and poking around in areas of my author page I clearly missed before.

I'm so thrilled that you loved the books, and hope you continue. If you ever want to get in touch with me for real, try e-mail: christine.amsden@yahoo.com -- I check that daily (okay, multiple times per day). (less)

Holiday Crafts

About three years ago, I decided to teach myself to knit. This involves watching a lot of YouTube videos (over and over again) and a lot of undoing hours’ worth of work because I made a single mistake. This also involved long periods of giving up in frustration because knitting is hard, especially when you’re not even sure how to name the problem so that Google can understand it.

I’ve never been a

I wanted to like this book. It started with a fun meet cute, and there was immediate tension over the fact that she's not a reader and he's a librarian. Yet there were warning signs early on when she chose to lie and say she did read.

The thing is,

Jennifer Haskin Hey Christine!

I put up the first six chapters of the trilogy I'm publishing. I have an agent who is waiting to sign papers until book 1 is publisher ready-which it is NOT. It is currently in the hands of my fabulous beta readers. I thought I'd see if the beginning got some response here. Would you take a look? I would value your opinion!

It's YA/16+, sci-fi, fantasy, romance about a girl Samurai and a half metal man who join forces to bring down an evil wizard and set her people free from another dimension when she learns that she is really an enchanted princess. It's complicated. Lol.

If you go to the top of the screen and hit the arrow next to 'Explore,' then click on creative writing, go to the tab that says 'new' and scroll down a little ways till you see a girl with swords. The title is The Key of F. Thanks! I appreciate it!
